Town Councillors

Doug Perry (Saffron Walden Audley)

Doug was a serving Essex Police Officer for many years and has lived with his family in Saffron Walden for over 30 years. On retirement from the Police Force, Doug was elected to Town and District Councils, becoming Town Mayor from 2009-2010, an honour he says he will never forget.

Keith Eden (Saffron Walden, Shire Ward)

Keith has been a District Councillor since 2007 and is very active sitting on the Perfromance & Audit Committee, the Standards Board and the Planning Committee as Deputy Chairman. He is further active in the community as a he represents UDC at Saffron Screen by attending Board meetings and on Saffron Walden Musuem Board, where he is a director and Trustee. He also sits on the Uttlesford Community Travel Advisory Team.

Sandra Eden (Saffron Walden Shire)

Almost 20 years of living in Shire ward has kept me close to the community especially the last eight years as an elected Town Councillor. My two years’ experience as firstly deputy Town Mayor and then this last 10 months as Town Mayor has ensured I can also see the bigger picture. Saffron Walden and Uttlesford District are wonderful places to live, but there are always ways we can improve our services and governance as well as ensuring our standards are maintained in all areas.

Sara Grimshaw (Shire Ward)

Sarah has lived in the town for a number of years and previously served as Mayoress in 2010. If elected, she would be honoured to represent Shire Ward and  endeavour to work for a fair, positive and efficient town administration.  

Sam Goddard (Little Walden)

Sam is a local farmer who has lived in Little Walden and Saffron Walden for most of his life. After returning from University with his wife, Sam has engaged with local issues and been elected unopposed. As a Councillor he intends to work hard for the ward and the town. 

David Sadler (Saffron Walden Castle)

David, is serving his third term on the Town Council and has previously served on the District Council (2007-15).  He is a hardworking member and has supported many local campaigns during his time on the Council.
