District Councillors

Howard Rolfe (Ashdon)

I am delighted to have the opportunity of representing Ashdon, Sewards End, Hadstock and Little Walden if re-elected to Uttlesford District Council (UDC) on 7 May. They are four beautiful villages and like many in our District are quite rightly concerned to retain their rural charm and elegance. By way of background I have lived in this area most of my life and am married with three grown up children. Professionally I was with Marks & Spencer and from them was seconded to the Cabinet Office in Whitehall for two years.

Edward Oliver (Clavering)

Edward was instrumental in setting up " Hands off Clavering" which successfully opposed a major development in Clavering and has vigorously  supported the opposition to a potential traveller site between Arkesden and Wicken Bonhunt .He rarely misses parish council meetings in any of the villages in the Clavering Ward and aims to attend events in the Ward at least once a week and regularly keeps in touch via a newsletter.

Tina Knight (Debden & Wimbish)

Tina has lived locally for 43 years.  With a successful business career she is actively involved with many Boards and Committees and works in a wide range of charitable activities.  Winning a number of distinguished awards, including Top Female Entrepreneur of the World, she appears regularly on BBC Radio, TV and national newspapers. She became involved in Local Politics in 2005 because she felt she should ‘start giving back’ being a ‘Capitalist with a Socialist Conscience’.

Marie Felton (Felsted & Stebbing)

It has been a privilege to run as District Councillor for Felsted over the last two years and I hope with the next election in 2015 that I may continue in my role to serve the community again with your support.I am an active member of the councils Performance and Audit committee and have also been elected onto the Housing Board.

Alan Mills (Felsted & Stebbing)

Alan lives in Felsted and has done so for the past 2 years.  He brings a wealth of experience as he was previously a Parish Councillor and Chairman for High Easter. Alan is a quantity surveyor and has an excellent knowledge of construction and finance.   His skills set  will be an asset to Uttlesford District Council and the community.

Lesley Wells (Broad Oak and The Hallingbury's)

Lesley has represented Broad Oak and the Hallingburys at Uttlesford District Council for 8 years and would welcome the chance to continue representing the ward that now includes Great Canfield.

Stephanie Harris (Flitch Green & Little Dunmow)

It has been an honour to have been able to serve the community as your District Councillor over the past 4 years.  I am the Chair of Flitch Green Parish Council and an active member of the Scrutiny Committee at Uttlesford District Council.  I have continually fought for residents on Flitch Green opposing planning applications and fighting for the outdoor spaces and equipment we so greatly need and were promised.  There will be a new outdoor gym for all to enjoy in 2015!

Paul Davies (Dunmow North)

I consider it a privilege to serve the residents of Great Dunmow North.I’ve been your District Councillor for the past four years and during that time I’m proud to have helped uphold Uttlesford District Council’s proud economic reputation. We have a proven track record for delivering value for money for residents and improving the key services that we all rely on.As lead member for sport I’m committed to help increase participation in sport and physical activity across Uttlesford as well as supporting local clubs and groups in Dunmow to help them develop and grow.
