I have sought to ensure that the County Council has continued to deliver value for money, whilst maintaining the quality of all its essential services. And I have been privileged to see the delivery of these services throughout the County as the Council’s Chairman for the past year. By way of background I have lived in this area most of my life and am married with three grown up children. Professionally I was with Marks & Spencer and from them was seconded to the Cabinet Office in Whitehall for two years.
