Jackie Cheetham (Takeley)

Deputy Leader of the Council - Chairman of the Planning Committee I am also the Councils spokesperson for avaiation. Locally I have used my District Councillor grant of £2,000 this year to help projects in the villages of Takeley, Great Canfield, Little Canfield at the Churches, Chapel, and Great Canfield Parish Council tree planting and signs community centre and groups.

Peter Jones (Stansted North)

Peter has lived in the village since 1973. He has been on the Council since 1976 and has twice been chairman (1981-84 & 1991-96). He has been Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee for many years. His main purpose in being a member is to sustain the village as a separate, viable and caring community.

Sam Goddard (Little Walden)

Sam is a local farmer who has lived in Little Walden and Saffron Walden for most of his life. After returning from University with his wife, Sam has engaged with local issues and been elected unopposed. As a Councillor he intends to work hard for the ward and the town.

John Galley (Boreham and the Leighs)

John has lived in Boreham for thirty three years, is married to Jackie and they have two grown up children and two grandchildren. For twenty eight years he worked in banking for both Coutts and NatWest.

John Aldridge

John Francis Aldridge (Broomfield and Writtle)

I have served as the County Member for the Broomfield & Writtle Division since 2005 seeking to stand up for the interests of all residents, meeting with parish councils regularly to represent local issues.  I have supported the County Council as it has delivered value for money whilst maintaining the quality of all its essential services. I therefore believe that Essex continues to need a strong Conservative Council to prudently manage its finances and keep Council Tax as low as possible. My priorities and personal aims are:

Howard Rolfe

Howard Rolfe (Ashdon)

I am delighted to have the opportunity of representing Ashdon, Sewards End, Hadstock and Little Walden if re-elected to Uttlesford District Council (UDC) on 7 May. They are four beautiful villages and like many in our District are quite rightly concerned to retain their rural charm and elegance. By way of background I have lived in this area most of my life and am married with three grown up children. Professionally I was with Marks & Spencer and from them was seconded to the Cabinet Office in Whitehall for two years.

John Salmon (Stansted North)

He lives in the Bentfield Green area and has been on the Parish Council for over twenty five years. He is a long term supporter of the Scout movement.

Matthew Jessup (Stansted North)

Matthew has lived in Stansted for 18 years, is married with two children. He has run his own IT consulting business for the last 16 years. He is a governor at St Mary’s Primary School a, a member of the Parochial Church Council at St. John’s and First Responder. He believes that Stansted has an extremely strong community spirit and, is keen to ensure that this spirit is not only maintained, but nurtured and built upon.

Phillip Wilson (Boreham and the Leighs)

Philip has lived locally for over ten years, is married with two young children. As well as being a councillor he works in Chelmsford and has a City finance background.

Joe Rich

Joe Rich (Elsenham & Henham)

I am a barrister specialising in the sale and regulation of goods, property and services.  As an experienced Councillor in Uttlesford, I much enjoyed serving the next-door ward of Stansted North & Ugley, where my wife Louise and I live with our three young children.
