In yesterday's Uttlesford District Council by-election for Dunmow South and Barnston, the Conservative candidate, Tom Loveday, saw a massive swing to the Conservatives, winning by a convincing margin on a low turnout:
- Labour 115 votes
- Lib Dems 88 votes
- R4U 238 votes
- Conservative 375 votes
The previous RFU incumbent had moved away and left the ward short of representation for many months. In addition, the feedback from residents was dismay and anger at how Uttlesford was being damaged by the R4U administration and the need for change.
Tom thanks all those who put their trust in him and looks forward to diligently representing all residents and communities in Great Dunmow South & Barnston ward.
