Being a member of Saffron Walden Conservatives means that you have joined the most open and democratic political party in Britain. After the first three months of your membership, you will be entitled to a vote in Party ballots. You will also have a chance to influence Party policy by letting us know your views through the CPF.
Over the last year our membership in Saffron Walden Constituency has shown dramatic growth as more and more people have turned to the Conservatives. We have a range of memberships available to suit any level of budget and interest.
Personal Membership: This is the most common form of membership. There is a minimum fee of £25.00 per person and you are entitled to the benefits described above after a qualifying period. This is an exciting time in British politics. We have the opportunity to develop a positive, forward-looking agenda that helps meet the big challenges our country faces, and helps make Britain a better place to live. As a member you will also be able to select local candidates for Essex/Uttlesford District/local Parish Councils, Saffron Walden Parliamentary and Eastern England European Elections. You also have the right to attend the Conservative Party Conference, local events and receive regular e-newsletters.
Joint Membership: For a fee of £50 two people can join the party together as a joint membership and enjoy all of the benefits of a Personal Membership. You can play your part by joining the Conservative Party. The Conservatives are already the largest party in local Government, and Conservative Future is Britain’s largest and fastest–growing political movement for young people. Westminster Club: Launched in 2004, as the Business Club is intended to give business leaders within the Constituency an opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and to afford them the opportunity of influencing Conservative Party policy in key areas affecting trade and commerce. Now the Westminster Club. It can be used to network with other businesses, as a quality way to entertain key clients or simply as a way to relax and discuss national issues in an informal and relaxed setting.
Patrons Club: For an enhanced level of personal membership we offer the Patrons Club. For an increased annual fee members are entitled to additional benefits including the option to attend a formal dinner at the prestigious venue in London attended by a member of the Shadow Cabinet.
Any person living in the United Kingdom is eligible to join the Conservative Party. Applicants are not required to be registered voters or UK nationals. There is no upper or lower age limit on membership, although children under the age of 15 cannot be enrolled as full voting members.We must capitalise on our current resurgence, and strive for a larger, stronger and co-ordinated membership.
